This was my first experiment with making an olive oil bottle with a spout that needed to be a certain size. And I gotta say, I'm very happy with how it turned out! With the clay, glaze, and firing process I use, each piece of pottery will shrink about 18% from the beginning of the process to the end. Taking that shrinkage into account is crucial when the final piece must be just right.
And if you're not an olive oil user, this bottle makes a beautiful vase too!
